Course content :
This course will provide you with the information on how to manage the aerodrome operations on daily basis including all weather operation / winter, heavy rainfall, runway conditions reporting format, low visibility procedures etc/. It will also bring to your attention daily duties of An Aerodrome Duty Officer with essential guidelines on the best practices, including all aspects related to airport maneuvering area and cooperation with all airport stakeholders. All safety related data will be discussed and explained. The following areas of airports related aspects will be discussed/covered :
Documents and other related regulations :
– ICAO 14 Annex and European rules and regulations explanation
– General description of an aerodrome operations manual and its content
– Other aerodrome related documents
Technical and practical aspects:
– Navigation aids description, functionality and its impact on flight operations and its minimums
– Runways and taxiways characteristics
– Communications between aerodrome safety operations division, air traffic control and other airport stakeholders.
– Signals, Signs and Markings
– Meteorology
– Reporting of an accidents and incidents to the relevant authorities
